Finley Rhys

Finley Rhys (b. 2003) is the founding editor of REVIEW, a critical magazine to be launched in 2024. Rhys explores the interstice between reality and contemporaneity, using various media to mediate between individuality and the opaque structures of our collective existence.

Currently completing his undergraduate degree at Bowdoin College, Rhys has also studied in programs in art history, curation, and philosophy at Harvard, The Harvard Graduate School of Design, and Yale. His approach reflects a deep interest in the intersections of Philosophy, Art, Environment, Architecture, Design, and Cognitive Neuroscience.

REVIEW serves as a connector of discourse and critique, aiming to advocate for the next generation of visual culture. The magazine's first issue, scheduled for publication by the end of 2024, will feature essays, artwork, and interviews from both established and emerging voices in the art world, including a conversation between Rhys and renowned philosopher Boris Groys.

Rhys seeks to reposition matrices of power, knowledge, and cultural production. He frequently explores themes of mediation, representation, and the evolving relationships inside of human experience.
